It is a complete multi-bracket competition manager (A, B, C, D). It brings together in a single tool three different formulas for redistributing teams after the opening rounds, automatically builds the single-elimination brackets and crowns the winners of each competition.
| Formula | Principle |
|---|---|
| A and B | No preliminary round. All teams play in A. The drop to the B consolation bracket happens after 1 or 2 defeats your choice (“Drop to B” setting). One defeat in B eliminates. Odd numbers are handled by bye. |
| A / B / C | Teams start in A. A 1stst defeat sends them to B, a 2nde to C, then elimination on the 3rde defeat. |
| 2R then ABCD | After 2 preliminary rounds (Danish mode): WW → A, WL → B, LW → C, LL → D. |
| 2R playoff then AB | After 2 rounds, a qualification playoff: the winners go to A, the losers to B. |
The boxes at the top of the page summarize these formulas; choose the right one before starting.
| Setting | Role |
|---|---|
| Organiser / Club & Date | Shown in the PDF header (optional). |
| Competition format | A and B · A / B / C · 2R then ABCD · 2R playoff then AB (see section 2). |
| Game format | Head-to-head, Doublette or Triplette (number of players per team). |
| Drop to B after (“A and B” formula only) | Your choice: drop to the B consolation bracket on the 1st defeat (classic), or only after the 2e defeat in A — the team then keeps a 2nde chance in A before dropping down. This option only appears in the “A and B” formula. |
| Number of teams | From 4 to 128. |
| Win / bye points | Points awarded to a team with a bye, 13 by default. |
Below the settings, a box “indicator” explains in real time what your configuration will produce.
In the left column, enter for each team its city / club, its label and the player names (the number of fields adapts to the formation). Everything is optional.
The yellow button START THE COMPETITION starts the chosen formula and creates the first matches.
You can also type the scores directly on the keyboard. The brackets and qualifications update automatically.
The simplest: all teams start in competition A (single elimination, without any preliminary round). A team that loses drops to the B consolation bracket ; if it loses again, it is eliminated. Each team therefore has 2 lives (A then B). The odd numbers are handled automatically by bye (the team skips the round). Ideal for a fast two-bracket competition.
Same principle, in a cascade repechage over 3 brackets : with each defeat the team “drops” (A → B → C); on the 3rde defeat, it is eliminated. Each team has 3 lives. Ideal for getting everyone to play as many games as possible.
Two preliminary rounds in Danish mode (pairing based on results). The run over these 2 rounds (Won/Lost) determines the final bracket: WW → A, WL → B, LW → C, LL → D. Four single-elimination competitions are then generated.
After 2 preliminary rounds, teams with 1 win / 1 defeat go through a qualification playoff. The playoff winners join the A competition, the losers the B competition.
Check Assign courts in the configuration and enter the Number of courts available. Each “to play” match then displays a bar 🏟️ Court n above the teams.
The button VIEW GRID opens a window summarizing all matches, with tabs to filter by bracket / round. Handy for calling the teams.
The tournament is saved automatically in the browser after each action. When the page is reopened, it is reloaded on its own. The button 💾 Save forces an immediate save with confirmation.
.json with the whole competition..json exported and restores everything identically. The button 🖨️ Print opens the print window directly with a clean PDF (without the browser headers/footers), economical on ink.
The button 🗑️ Clear all clears the tournament and the browser save, after confirmation. Export the file .json before if you want to keep a record of it.
No: resume is automatic on the same browser. If in doubt, export the file .json.
A and B for a simple and fast 2-bracket competition (no preliminaries); A / B / C to get everyone playing a lot; 2R then ABCD for 4 levels; 2R playoff then AB for 2 balanced brackets.
