– ultra-specialized shoes
– technical polos worthy of pro sport
– ever more precise accessories
– sometimes even apps to measure or analyse

Pétanque is gently entering the era of equipment.

🎯 The laser: time-saver or loss of spirit?

Originally, the laser measure was designed to avoid endless debates over a point.

Goal:
👉 measure fast
👉 decide clearly
👉 move on to the next mène

On paper, it's perfect.

In reality, it sometimes creates the opposite effect:

• discussions about the laser angle
• disputing the position
• waiting for the equipment
• suspicious looks

Result: we gain in precision… but not always in fluidity.

👕 Outfits: between comfort and uniformity

Another visible change: clothing.

We see more and more:

• matching outfits
• technical fabrics
• displayed sponsors
• strict colour codes

It's more pro, cleaner, more readable.

But some miss the spontaneous side:
the Sunday shorts, the old club polo, the tired cap.

are we still playing among enthusiasts… or already like in a televised championship?
